• Education: Bachelor's degree in Business/Economics or related topic from a recognized
business or vocational college with minimum three years of related work experience.
• Knowledge: structure and functions of relevant Government of Tanzania Ministries.
• Skills and Abilities: Excellent verbal and written English and Kiswahili; strong computer
skills (Outlook Calendar, Mail, Word; Page Layout or similar for newsletter); copy & fax
machine operation; translation of short documents and correspondence; ability to
maintain efficient paper and electronic filing systems; accuracy in math; strong
organization, time management & cross-cultural interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a team member, take initiative, exercise flexibility,
and maintain confidentiality on sensitive matters.
• Working with ministry officials to facilitate work pennits and exemption certificates from
the appropriate Tanzanian government agency.
• Working with partner ministries to keep up to date with changes in work permit laws and policies
• Coordinating with Peace Corps Sector Staff to ensure effective engagement with sector Ministries.
