Requirements
Demonstrated working experiences of a minimum 5 years in community-based HIV prevention anp/or
sexual and reproductive health (SRH) programs targeting youth, adolescent girls and young women
and other vulnerable populations
Demonstrated senior-level management experience coordinating large-scale, multi-million donor
funded proqrams in multiple locations with at least 50 staff, with strong supervisory and management
skills in leading teams of public health professionals, experience in developing and executing work
plans, budgets, reports, etc.
Demonstrated experience in application/proposal writing, fund mobilization, and donor/central
government liaison activities including development of reports and conducting presentations to
high-level stakeholders Experience working in Coastal Zone regions of Tanzania, including Dar es Salaam Required excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Kiswahili Excellent computer skills ·

Responsibilities
Oversee and manage overall all regional staff and offices in the Coastal Zone implementing a project for
adolescent girls and young women and other targeted vulnerable populations so they can successfully:
o Plan and coordinate all trainings
o Liaise with local stakeholders and local government authorities
o Conduct needs assessment, mapping, and other preparatory activities as needed
o Liaise with health facilities' staff to develop a strong referral network from community to facility and
vice versa
o Supervise recruitment and mentoring of outreach workers and lay workers from peer groups
o Implement program interventions (such as community based HTC, linkage/referral to health
facilities, GBV & gender norms, STl/TB screening, condoms distribution and family planning) and
according to the workplan, targets, and SOPs
o Collect and report data on a timely basis without errors
Oversee any related projects on evaluation of HIV prevention interventions for adolescent girls and
• young women and other targeted vulnerable populations
Focal person to liaise with central government leaders and other stakeholders on the program progress
Lead the development of program SOPs and implementation in the regional teams
Manage technically any sub-grantees on the project
Assist with compilation and review of quarterly, semi-annual and annual reporting to donor
Perform any other relevant duties as assigned by the supervisor
