• Academic degree in development studies or in relevant field;
• Excellent writing and verbal communication skills in English and Kiswahili;
• Knowledge of development policy issues, specially of international development financing, corporate accountability, tax justice, and
climate justice;
• Good knowledge of national development plans and current global development agenda;
• Good knowledge of Tanzanian civil society context;
• Good cooperation and networking skills.
• Participate in the planning, coordination and implementation of Kepa's global programme in Tanzania in collaboration with
colleagues in other Kepa offices;
• Gather information and conduct background analyses to support Kepa's advocacy work;
• Identify potential partners in Tanzania and coordinate the partnership support;
• Networking and exchange of information with local civil society organizations and regional networks on development policy issues;
• Monitoring and analysing development policy issues and civil society operating environment in Tanzania and the East African
region when required;
• Keeping contacts with Kepa's member organizations as regard to situation in Tanzania and the civil society views;
• Represent Kepa in civil society discussion on development policy issues at national level;
• Planning and writing of articles for Kepa's publications;
• Write news, columns and biogs to Kepa media and communication channels.
