A Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university
Proof of training in Security oversight.
Developing specifications for security contracts
Oversighting compliance of terms by contracted security agencies.
Appraising, monitoring and evaluating KCAA’s needs for security services and
making recommendations to Management.
Liaising with Procurement and Legal departments in the procurement of
Performing field and spot checks regularly across all premises (EASA, control
tower, outer stations etc.) to identify any security issues and recommend
Overseeing the protection the organization’s assets against theft, pilferage,
damage, misuse, sabotage or all other harmful causes.
Conducting periodic safety drills for all staff.
Initiating and maintaining linkages with law enforcement agencies to enhance
The Authority’s security.

Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) was established on 24th October 2002 by the Civil Aviation (Amendment) Act, 2002 with the primary functions towards; Regulation and oversight of Aviation Safety & Security; Economic regulation of Air Services and development of Civil Aviation; Provision of Air Navigation Services, and Training of Aviation personnel KCAA; as guided by the provisions of the convention on international civil aviation, related ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs), the Kenya Civil Aviation Act, 2013 and the civil aviation regulations.
