### Summary

**This position is located in the Department of Health and Human
Services (DHHS), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Office of
Global Regulatory Operations and Policy (OGROP), Office of
Regulatory Affairs (ORA), Office of Management (OM) which is
responsible for protecting consumers and enhancing public health by
maximizing compliance of FDA regulated products and minimizing risk
associated with those products.**

### Responsibilities

- Responsible for periodic preparation of a variety of
administrative management reports on a regular and recurring
basis, and for the development of special request reports when
requested by Field Office components.
- Supervise administrative support staff of three or more
employees responsible for providing essential centralized
management services and other critical administrative management
support functions for the assigned Field Office.
- Direct and approve management studies, provides advise on labor
relation issues, budget and financial plans, procurement and
property matters, travel requests, space plans and requests,
personnel actions, training requests, etc.
- Responsible for planning, managing, and coordinating a broad
range of studies and program analysis activities covering
technical and management facets of Office operations.
- Meet and interact regularly with the Director and Field Office
management on ad hoc basis (as needed) to address issues and
problems of an emergency nature needing immediate attention.
- Conducts and leads committee meetings with Board of Survey and
serves on national task forces and committees.

**The position of Supervisory Administrative Management Specialist
falls under the** **0301** **occupational series. To qualify for
this position at grade GS**-**13, you must meet all qualification

supervisory probationary period if s/he has not previously been a
