UNOPS has been supporting Somalia with a range of infrastructure, procurement, project management, HR, and advisory services since 1995. During this time, UNOPS and its partners have been able to implement projects that have made a positive change to the lives of people living in Somalia. One of the more recent and largest projects is the development of a stipend payments delivery scheme for the Somali Security Forces. Funded by the United States of America, the overall objective of this programme is to develop a transparent and efficient process in the administration of stipend payments to help support Somalia's security services.
