You will have the opportunity to develop your own research interests and lead, or contribute to grant writing, study design and protocol development, ethics applications. Depending on the nature of your research activity, you may need to spend time at local NHS sites. You will also contribute to education delivery where appropriate across the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

You will be a qualified medical doctor in speciality training, with a commitment to clinical research and/or medical education in the field of medical imaging. Post-graduate research qualifications, or an intention to undertake a higher research degree is desirable, and we will look to support those wishing to pursue this. You will be research active and committed to a culture of academic excellence and continuous improvement.

Applications are welcome from those with particular expertise in the areas of oncological, gastrointestinal or hepatopancreaticobiliary imaging, but we will consider trainees with interests in other areas of clinical imaging.
