You will serve as a member of the Administrative Services Team in
the Office of Program Administration in Western Federal Lands
Highway Division (WFLHD) with responsibility for managing a variety
of Administrative tasks and programs.

**The Administrative Specialist**:
- Manages the issuance and updates of the Administrative
Procedures Manual, coordinating updates with the authors of the
individual chapters and suggesting editorial and formatting
changes as needed. Writes and/or edits documents for public or
internal FHWA/WFLHD distribution; conducts fact-finding
interviews and research from internal and external sources; and
edits and formats final documents as needed.
- Serves as a Trusted Agent and Personal Identity Verification
(PN) Coordinator to enroll, activate, and provision PIV cards
for WFLHD employees and contractors.
- Independently negotiates with requesters to ensure the
completeness and accuracy of requested information. Provides
guidance to WFLHD employees engaged in records searches and in
providing disclosure recommendations to the office.
- Serves as back-up to the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA)
Coordinator and is responsible for analyzing and evaluating
requests to determine eligibility for release of information. In
the absence of or in coordination with the FOIA officer,
consults with WFLHD Legal Counsel to discuss and resolve complex
- Coordinates and manages a variety of Administrative programs and
procedures to include ID card security program, telework program
and office wide-communications.
