### Responsibilities

The following are the duties of this position at the GS-12. If you
are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity
to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to
help you grow in this position.

- Coordinate and track resource allocations for office programs
- Prepare oral and written reports and presentations
- Analyze the administrative operations of the office to determine
present workflow, procedures, and productivity
- Control correspondences, receive, screen, distribute, track and
file correspondence to the Deputy Assistant Secretary from the
program offices in Operations

The Office of Housing provides vital public services through its
nationally administered programs. It oversees the Federal Housing
Administration (FHA), the largest mortgage insurer in the world, and
regulates important parts of the housing industry. The Office of
Housing also helps ensure consumers can access housing counseling
and provides affordable rental housing through its Multifamily
housing program. The Office of Housing is committed to helping all
Americans obtain safe, decent affordable housing.

### Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this

**Specialized Experience:** For the GS-12, you must have one year of
specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility
equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service.
Specialized experience for this position includes:

**- Planning and developing in support of administrative or
operational aspects of a program including providing recommendations
for improvement; AND
- Drafting communications, including reports and briefings, for
management; handling all telephone and professional written
correspondence inquiries; scheduling meetings and making all
appropriate room and phone reservations


**Specialized Experience:** For the GS-11, you must have one year of
specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility
equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service.
Specialized experience for this position includes:

**- Interpreting and analyzing office administrative operations and
policies and recommending changes to improve effectiveness and
consistency of administrative operations; AND
- Coordinating and planning administrative functions such as
troubleshooting office support issues, scheduling meetings and
conferences, controlling correspondence, and appointment calendars
for management; AND
- Researching and interpreting information needed to prepare
reports, and to respond to requests for information.
