Advanced university degree in Social Science, Law, Public Administration, and Political
Science, Women Studies or any other relevant field. Additional qualifications in training
methodologies and adult learning are an added advantage.
v At least 5 years of relevant project management, organizational development and/or
capacity building experience.
v A solid understanding of advocacy strategies and lobby skills
v A solid understanding of Somaliland context and election system as well as political and

v Capacity development experience in multi-cultural environments, and in conflict

Identify and formulate coordinated approaches to the implementation, management and evaluation of all LOA activities.
Plan, organize and spearhead awareness raising and outreach programmes particularly civic education programmes women’s political inclusion and/or
participation for the upcoming elections intended to reach a wider spectrum of audiences including emote districts and rural areas.
Coordinate and give strategic advice for efforts on advocacy of the affirmative action for women’s participation to influence the legislatives (representatives
and the Guurti) in approving women’s quota motion in front of the parliament.
Conduct a post-election review to identify success stories, challenges/constraints and recommendations, and produce a report on the status of gender in
participation of public realm.
Design and device a strategy to address women’s social and economic rights in relation to Khat in conducting a consultative forum for women Khat sellers
and other relevant stakeholders and draft an appropriate response mechanisms (e.g. media awareness and behavioural change campaigns, alternative
livelihoods for sellers).
Contribute to the organisation and preparation of different women related events, days and commemorations as needed
Organize meetings with the leaders and members of target women groups to identify the challenges, and constraints that they face and using the activities
in the LOA, assist resolve them.
Coordinate the activities of the various beneficiary groups of the project to achieve the set objectives.
