The Blavatnik School of Government is one of the newest departments at the University of Oxford. We are rapidly growing and are seeking to appoint a part-time HR Projects Officer to support the budding people, research and teaching activities of the School.

The HR Projects Officer will work with autonomy and take forward the following exciting and challenging HR initiatives: administering the implementation of the School’s Athena Swan bronze award action plan and supporting the 2020 biennial staff survey; faculty relocations and inductions; overseas employee administration; fixed-term contract reporting; supporting line-manager; and liaising with school teams to provide visa guidance.

You will have a systematic, thorough, and well-organised approach to work with evidence of the ability to work to deadlines with minimal supervision. Experience of working in an HR team/role and managing HR processes. You will be a flexible and adaptable individual who is able to cope with a challenging and stimulating work environment and multiple (sometimes-conflicting) priorities. A demonstrable ability to communicate processes and procedures professionally, confidentially, tactfully and effectively to a high standard in writing as well as orally is essential as is the ability to develop and maintain professional and effective working relationships with key stakeholders. We are looking for someone with demonstrable experience of good team working skills, who also has the ability to analyse information with attention to detail and consistency of approach.
