We are seeking to recruit a part-time Evening and Weekend Supervisor for our Northampton Square and Cass Library teams.

Hours of work will be weekdays 5pm-9pm and weekends 12-6pm.

The successful candidate at Northampton Square will work up to 3 weekday evenings per week, and alternate weekends.

The successful candiate at Cass will be required to work on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, and will work either Friday evening (5-9pm) or Saturday (12-6pm) on alternate weeks.


The evening and weekend supervisor ensures the smooth delivery of core library services through answering reference and procedural enquiries, delivering circulation functions, and assisting with library equipment. This role involves the supervision of a small team of staff delivering the above services, and also in shelving and maintaining a good study environment for all our users.

Person Specification

The successful candidate will have relevant experience, preferably in an academic library setting, and excellent customer service skills. Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to supervise a team and foster a collaborative approach to work are also required.
