Celebrated AJ100 architectural firm seeks a talented individual, for a MAT-cover contract of 12-months, to oversee marketing, events and business development functions. As Marketing & Business Development Manager you will be responsible for developing and maintain practice presence of a studio that holds a fantastic reputation in the industry for designing multi award-winning schemes through the implementation of profile-building strategy across Marketing, PR, BD and bid management.

With proven experience in a similar role within the Architecture, Construction or wider Built Environment industry, you will be working alongside Senior Management and oversee duties such as:

  • Tracking and maintaining activity to identity the practice profile is consistently at the top of key sector targets and ensure that it is in line with business objectives
  • Researching specific new business targets
  • Overseeing the tenders and bids process from start to finish, compiling tenders and producing high-quality responses
  • Manage and coordinate key industry events
  • Assist in the production of engaging and original marketing collateral
  • Regular update and maintain website, social media platforms, and coordinate imagery
  • Produce internal newsletters and oversee internal communications
  • Oversee PR strategy, preparing content and writing press releases

An integral role, the Business Development Manager is crucial to ensuring the practice’s ongoing success. This role would suit an industry-savvy individual passionate about Architecture and Design, with a strategic mindset, nimble communication skills and the ambition to think laterally about new project opportunities. A firm understanding of Construction terminology, in addition to superb verbal and written communication skills are vital. A great working knowledge of InDesign and Photoshop is highly beneficial, and you will have experience in updating CRM databases.
