Role Outline

Boston University London is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support several courses in Marketing, Communications and Advertising on the Internship Programme for American study-abroad students, starting 15th January 2020.  Teaching is for six weeks, on Mondays-Thursdays (either AM or PM; hours will vary), and will amount to up to 80 contact hours in total. The courses will conclude on Thursday 20th February 2020.

Job Description

Duties include:

  • Attending all classes and assisting professors as required, including facilitation of small group discussion during seminars
  • Organising and supporting field trips in London, and accompanying and leading students during visits
  • Advising students on coursework
  • Supporting assessment and grading
  • Liaising between BU London office and students

Required Skills

The successful candidate will hold a minimum of a Master’s degree in a Marketing or Communications related subject. Candidates with significant sector industry experience will be preferred. You must also have experience working with and teaching undergraduates, ideally American students, possessing strong cross-cultural, mentoring and communication skills. Applicants must have the legal status to work full-time in the UK.
