Requirements
Fluent in both Somali and English, written and spoken
Recent experience as Radio programme technician
Contributing ideas to the programme in every aspect
A thorough knowledge and understanding of Wadajir Framework
Ability to anticipate changes in the market and to plan and guide the program’s output accordingly
Deep understanding of the digital technology, the internet and real knowledge of the potential of new technology
Be present in all meetings designed to discuss the progress and improvements of the programme
Ability to adopt and work effectively with a variety of situations, individuals or groups
Experience of and willingness to go on reporting trips, oversees postings or undertake special series.
Has the personal characteristics to advocate the programme values and behaviors and provide the inspiration for staff commitment around these values.
Have a Bachelor degree or a recent considerable experience in the technical support of Radio Programme Production

Responsibilities
1. Lead the technical editing of the programme;
2. Familiarising him/herself with the content and plans prepared by the producer/editor
3. Working closely with the producer and presenter;
4. Lead the technical operations of the programme in a high standard quality;
5. Support technically the debates and discussions connected to Wadajir Radio Programme;
6. Taking the responsibility of the technical issues of the phone in programme and collecting voxpops for Wadajir Radio Programmes, twice a month;
7. Assisting the producer+editor and presenter in the selection of topics appropriate for the programme and the audience;
8. Support the presenter to undertake editing, interviewing and reporting duties as necessary;
9. Responding to the audience feedback, improve the programme’s technical quality;
10. Act upon the outcome of Monitoring and Evaluating performance for him/herself related to the technical performance;
11. Assist the setup of the website and take part in populating and updating it;
12. Contribute to the programme’s social media by tweeting, updating the Facebook, Flickr and other platforms
