The course starts on Wednesday 15th January 2020. Teaching is for six weeks, scheduled for Mondays and Tuesdays from 9am-1pm, amounting to 40 classroom contact hours, plus coverage for the 2-hour final exam for the course. The course concludes on Tuesday 18th February.

Please see http://www.bu.edu/abroad/programs/london-internship-program/ for details on BU Study Abroad London.

The Course

‘Advertising in the UK’ focuses on London's stellar reputation for creative and production excellence in advertising; examines how the advertising is shaped by the anti-sell, irony-modulated consumer culture, and emphasizes the way that deifying research risks diluting creative.

Required Skills

We are looking for a highly competent lecturer, ideally with a professional background in Advertising, to pick up the course for this semester only. They will combine excellent cross-cultural communication skills and experience in undergraduate teaching, preferably including experience of teaching American and international undergraduate students. All existing course materials will be shared with the successful candidate.

To apply, please send your CV with a covering letter to hughsmith@tetragonHR.com. Your letter must explain concisely your suitability for the role in terms of your research interests and teaching expertise.

Review of applications will begin immediately, with a closing date of Wednesday 11th December. Interviews are expected to be held in London on Monday 16th December.
