About Company: The Makerere University Walter Reed Project (MUWRP) is a non-profit partnership between Makerere University and MHRP. MUWRP has been conducting HIV research in Uganda since 1998 and expanded its portfolio to include prevention, care and treatment activities in 2005 under the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR). Degree in Administration/office management studies or related field from a recognized University
At least 2 years’ experience in a similar position.
Excellent telephone manners.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience in a hospital/clinical/research setting is an added advantage
Excellent Oral and Written English and Luganda
Good computer knowledge, including but not limited to Ms. Word, Ms. Excel, E-mail and Internet.
Highly organized, detail oriented and self-motivated.
Familiarity with standard electronic office machines (phones, copier, fax etc)
1. Schedule appointment for Volunteers using the clinic calendar.
2. Ushers in volunteers and directs them to the relevant medical personnel.
3. Handles requisitions, reimbursements and accountability of volunteer’s stipend.
4. Escorts volunteers to their homes after vaccination
5. Timely receipt and tracking of laboratory results and follow up on any delays
6. Maintain and update participants’ data bases.
7. Handle clinic department related purchase and cash requisitions and accountability for Volunteers’ reimbursement
8. Ensure that Laboratory and clinic coats are cleaned and delivered on time.
Perform any other duties as directed by the Supervisors.
