1. Degree in peace building/conflict mitigation, social work, social sciences, development studies, law, civil society development or related field; or a diploma
with progressive relevant work experience.
2. At least three years experience working in the fields of peace building/conflict mitigation, preferably in a USAID project in Somalia is essential
3. Experience in building and maintaining institutional linkages required. Public relations skills required.
4. Flexibility to work both in a team and independently.
5. Cultural sensitivity, patience and flexibility.
6. Demonstrated personal accountability and driven to serve others.
7. Experience with community-based participatory methods
8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel and Outlook required.
9. Good interpersonal skills, organizational skills, communication, ability to work with minimum supervision and commitment to team work; Ability to speak
Somalia language is a MUST.
The Governance & Peacebuilding Officer will work closely with the Governance & Capacity Building Manager in designing, developing, implementing, monitoring,
