In 1982, she added the Population Communication Services project.
• Possession of a class C Driving License (C, C1 &C 2 and D) and a clean driving record • 3 years of driving experience with professional organizations • Knowledge of the districts where VW operates • Basic written and verbal communication skills in English; proficient written and verbal communication in Swahili • Education levels at least a Diploma in Driving from a reputable institution. • Basic computer skills including the use of Microsoft Word and Excel, e-mail, Internet searches • Basic math skills (including but not limited to the ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, manipulate fractions, percentages and solve minor equations) • Quick-thinking, honest, dependable, punctual, professional appearance • Ability to work independently • Willingness to be based in one of the above regions and to travel extensively and to remote rural locations for approximately three years*
• Provide transportation, using VectorWorks project vehicles, of goods, staff and other authorized passengers in accordance with JHU/CCP/USAID policies and procedures; • Operate and maintain the assigned vehicle in a safe manner that maximizes vehicle working life; • Keep accurate and up-to-date records using log sheets for vehicle maintenance and fuel use; • Maintain up-to-date vehicle registration and insurance; • Inspect and be vigilant at all times for the detection of any faults and/or damage to the assigned vehicle, whether accidental or otherwise, and submit a written report on it as soon as possible to the Regional Manager and Administrative Officer; • Ensure that all necessary measures are taken to avoid theft of/from the vehicle(s). These measures should include among others: proper use of locks on doors and windows and ensuring that the vehicle is parked in secure places. • Prepare travel advance requests and travel expense reports in a timely, honest, and accurate manner for all domestic travel; • Prepare other administrative forms e.g. monthly timesheets, leave requests, purchase requisitions, etc.; • Ability to perform clerical functions using standard office equipment e.g. scanning, photocopying, printing and adjusting print settings, data entry with a focus on accuracy; - • Perform other duties as assigned by his/her supervisor
