Requirements
I. Bachelor's degree in business or human resources and three to five years' management
experience in this or related field ; or any equivalent combination of training, education and
experience that demonstrates the abil ity to perform the duties of the position.
2. Strong cross-cultural HR and management ski lls
3. Strong knowledge of South Sudanese labor laws;
4. Ability to multitask, ability to handle pressure well, ability to improvise, flexibility, cultural
and environmental sensitivity;
5. Ability to develop a good working relationship with local organizations, other program
partners and counterparts in order to contribute at the highest level to project deliverables;
6. Good knowledge of administrative support functions including organization skills,
composing business documents, compiling and summarizing data.
7. Ability to use word processing, database and spreadsheet software effectively.
8. Knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Windows.
9. Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
10. Ability to organize details and meet deadlines under pressure

Responsibilities
1. Administers various human resources policies and procedures for all IMA Republic of South
Sudan personnel; assists in development and implementation of human resources policies and
procedures; updates and maintains employee handbook and policies and procedures manual
in coordination with JMA HQ.
2. Provide effective guidance to IMA staff and managers in South Sudan regarding policies
and procedures; and answers employee questions in a timely manner. Directs and fo llows
up on all organization policies, procedures and documentation for IMA Republic of South
Sudan Office.
3. Coordinates the development and implementation of office procedures and HR policies,
and oversees maintenance of all office records.
4. Provide initial interpretation of personnel policies for staff.
5. Serves as an information link between the IMA South Sudan and the IMA Headquarters
Office. Some travel to these locations will be required.
6. Preparing recruitment documents, including MOL approval, scheduling interviews for all
IMA personnel; writes and places advertisements; faci litate interview processes,
recruitment and hiring; and conducts new-employee orientations. Coordinates all
recruitment efforts with the HQ Recruitment Officer.
7. Handles employee relations counseling and exit interviewing. Ensures that all appropriate
pre-employment and post-employment documentation is collected and provided to
appropriate HQ HR Staff.
8. Collect, review, process and communicate with employees, managers and HQ Global HR
Manager regarding employee leave requests and timesheets
