About Company: South Sudan Grassroots Initiative for Development (SSGID) is a national non-profit national Humanitarian and Development community organization established in 2013 and registered by the Ministry of Justice and the Relief and Rehabilitation Commission. SSGID seeks to recruit a Food Security and Livelihood Officer from 01 January 2017 to oversee the implementation of a livelihood project in Warrap State. The initial contract will be for 6 months with possibility of extension dependent on performance and budget. This position is based in Warrap State.

 Degree in Agriculture and fisheries or any related field
 Minimum 2 years of experience in development programs, preferably working in food security and & livelihoods, and with experience in cash/voucher activities
 Experience in managing a team
 Good time management skills
 Experience in data collection
 Experience in field work and community mobilization; and in training groups of beneficiaries
 Fluency in written and spoken English
 Computer skills (especially Excel)
 Strength in interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
 Flexibility and willingness to change work practices and hours, and capability to work in insecure environment
 Prepare weekly and monthly work plans and ensure the FSL assistants follow the plans
 Assist with the training of the FSL Assistants to ensure they have solid understanding of key programme documents
