An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Education Fellow to join the Department of Oncology. The role of the Senior Education Fellow is to contribute to the teaching, educational research and academic administration of the department’s teaching programmes. In addition, they will lead independent strategic projects in educational development within the broad scope of the department’s teaching provision and will enhance the breadth of teaching initiatives and its audience. The postholder will provide strategic planning and development to underpin lecturer, lecture, tutor and supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students. They will review and develop existing and new teaching programmes, manage independent research projects, identify sources of teaching and carry out collaborative projects with colleagues in partner institutions.
The postholder will hold a relevant PhD/DPhil with post qualification teaching and research experience, have an aptitude for teaching and awareness of pedagogic methods, possess sufficient knowledge in the discipline to develop and research projects and methodologies. It is also essential for the postholder to also have a strong publication record and experience of writing proposals and teaching students.
This is a part-time post for 15 hours per week, offered for 2 years in the first instance.
