About the Position: Fort Gordon is in Augusta, Georgia, home of the Masters Golf Tournament and the Cyber Center of Excellence. It is approximately 142 miles east of Atlanta, 80 miles southwest of Columbia, South Carolina and 122 miles northwest of Savannah, Georgia. Ft Gordon's location offers close proximity to a metropolitan area and is an easy drive from Atlanta, Savannah the beaches along the Atlantic Ocean and the mountains.
Manage the various administrative processes within the CDID ensuring that procedures meet office requirements and are understood and followed by the staff
Maintain office publications and directives, ensuring they are current and updated periodically.
Ensure the office is effectively managed. Identifies and resolves various problems and situations that affect a wide range of activities.
Review and evaluate documents related to CDID special projects and action items.
Handle unusual or unprecedented problems independently, taking action or recommending solutions to the supervisor
Arrange travel for the Capabilities Development and Integration Directorate (CDID) to include scheduling transportation and making hotel reservations.
Use office automation systems and software packages to accomplish work (e.g., Automated Time Attendance and Production System (ATAAPS), DCPS, Defense Travel system (DTS), Central Support Unit (CSU), Microsoft Office Suite).
Provide routine, non-technical information from office files or knowledge of the organization's functions and policies.

To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. For GS-09: Specialized and Other Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: (1) Conducting studies in an organization to analyze and/or recommend solutions to problems pertaining to administrative procedures or work processes; (2) Advising management on administrative procedures to ensure regulatory compliance; and (3) Developing manuals and directives covering the administrative aspects of the organization's operations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree with a major study in education or a subject area related to the position to be filled, such as: Any Field of Study OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.
