Job Description

We are looking for Forest development officer

Bachelor

Full-Time


The successful candidate should have firs! degree in Business Management, Finance, Development Studies or related fields with at least 5 rrofessionol experience in inter-institutional relationship management; Highly competent on proposo development and ability to understand the complex fundraising strategies; Experience working with international NGO involved in environmental and/or community development programs would be on advantage. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Kiswohili, proven experience and sensitivity of working with people of different cultures


Develop, mobilize funding for new and large scale forest landscape actions that together increase the oreo of tree cover through restoration, save forests at risk ond increase the area of forest under protection; Form strategic portnerships with funders, investors and other stakeholders who are critical to implementing the programme in Tanzania; Contribute to evolution and scaling-up of financing mechanism in community forests in priority landscapes and beyond; Support the WWF-TCO Forest Programme Coordinator and Eastern Africa Forest Coordinator in the delivery of the forest strategies; Put in place and oversee systems that monitor fund raising and portnership relations (e.g., regular reviews of donor reports and other communications, MOU's and other agreements, funding proposals, policy dialogues etc.) ; Maintain good relationships with the Trillion TrEes 'Tlanoger in the UK office and exchange information and intelligence - including in particular fo; progress reporting and occasional communications needs; Ensure the preparation and timely subrm ,ion lo the donor of annual work plans and budgets as well as technical and financial reports occcirc'ing to agreed WWF Network slondords; Performs other duties os requested by the Forest Programme Coordinator, Eastern Africa Regional Forest Coordinator and/or Conservation Manager
