Are you passionate about engaging and communicating across social media channels?  Would you relish the opportunity to bring world-class collections and services to global audiences?

The Bodleian Libraries are seeking a Social Media and Communications Officer to join its award-wining Communications team. You will be responsible for managing the Libraries’ social media presence and platforms, creating content to reach the Libraries’ readers and audiences and shaping the Libraries’ long-term social media strategies. You will also support internal communications and lead the production of our internal staff publications and service-wide Communications projects ranging from campaigns to the promotion of our public programme.

With social engagement across the Bodleian Libraries’ channels increasing significantly over the last 5 years, you will be building on this success and exploring new opportunities.

You will have experience working on and with social media platforms and producing staff communications and publications. You will be a strong writer with creative ideas, have excellent organisational and time-management skills, and the well-developed interpersonal skills necessary to foster strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and to review trends to inform content. Experience working in libraries and/or cultural institutions is desirable.

This is a permanent, part-time role for 22.5 hours (0.6 FTE), which could be worked over three full days or a combination of full and part days.

Benefits include 38 days leave (including bank holidays and fixed closed days), a generous pension scheme, extensive training and development opportunities, access to travel and childcare schemes, free entry to colleges, discounted access to sporting facilities and a wide range of other staff discounts.

You will be required to upload a CV and a supporting statement as part of your online application.
