Oxford Internet Institute, 1 St Giles, Oxford

The Oxford Internet Institute (OII) at the University of Oxford is looking for an enthusiastic, confident and well-organised individual with excellent people skills to provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to Professors Helen Margetts and other senior fellows at the Alan Turing Institute. This is a responsible role that requires a high level of confidentiality, reliability and organisation of time in order to juggle competing demands.

Working in central Oxford as part of a busy administrative team, your responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks, including dealing with correspondence and telephone calls, arranging meetings and maintaining diary and travel arrangements.

As the successful candidate, you will have a friendly professional approach and a flexible ‘can do’ attitude that enables you to work effectively as part of a team and to develop effective working relationships with people at all levels. You should be able to demonstrate excellent IT and communication skills and experience in handling confidential information with tact and discretion would be an advantage.

This is a part-time position (22 hours/week) and is available immediately on a fixed-term basis until 31 August 2021 in the first instance. This is an exciting opportunity for someone wishing to pursue a career in University administration in a friendly and supportive environment and the post holder will be encouraged to take advantage of the many training opportunities offered by the University.
