1. Program Funds Management
In coordination with program Manager, she/he prepare Quarterly Funds Requests {to be submitted to CO), ensuring that the necessary amount
of funds are available in the program account to fully implement projects and meet all financial engagements in timely manner.
• Maintain financial and accounting systems and reporting in accordance with Africare's policies.
• Record expenses in general ledger for all project-related expenses.
• Perform periodic reviews and certify the General Ledger, cash book, Trial balance and other pertinent reports generated in Financial accounting
system by the 15thof every month in time for monthly batch dispatch to CO.
• Maintain Accounts Receivable (AIR) for all program staff and ensure settlement of all cash advances within specified time frame as per financial
• Prepare financial reports as per donor requirements and timeline with in addition to Africare financial formats
2. Budgeting and Reporting
• Develop projecfs Annual Operating budgets as per donor agreement and Africare guidelines.
• Develop and maintain budgetary controls of expenses, in consultation with Program Manager and Program staff.
3. Grants Management and Facilitation of Audits.
• Prepare and facilitate external audits as appropriate in consultation with donor requirements
4. General Administration
• Ensure that adequate internal controls and procedures are in place, understood and adhered to.
5. Procurement of Goods and Services
• Work closely with projects Procurement/Logistics to ensure procedures are compiled with as specified In Africare procurement policy.
