Requirements
• Master's Degree or above in communications, international development, business administration, or a related field;
• Minimum 7 years of experience producing, editing, and disseminating - under tight- deadlines - accurate and dynamic
reports and communications materials, including reports for US Government Agencies;
• Demonstrated success conveying complex, technical, and sometimes sensitive information to diverse audiences;
• Knowledge of, interest in, and experience with communications in relevant programming areas, such as gender based
violence, education, social protection, and youth;
• Strong research and analytical skills;
·Ability to work effectively, efficiently, and independently or as a part of a team in a demanding and often high-pressure ·
environment on complex issues;
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills in order to manage multiple tasks across multiple programs and
to re-prioritize actions on short notice;
• Relevant computer software skills including the Microsoft Office Suite, MS Publisher, and the Adobe Suite;
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to write and interact both creatively and professionally in both
English and Kiswahili is required;

Responsibilities
• Provide leadership to reporting and communications aspects of two high-profile programs, including content creation,
review process management, and timely dissemination;
• Leads the ongoing collection and management of all program documentation, such as program progress, impact,
~essons learned, challenges, and partner updates;
• Coordinates, oversees, and contributes to the writing of high-quality quarterly and annual reports, financial reports, and
any other reports required by USAID, US Department of State, and PEPFAR;
• Ensures all outputs produced meet required standards set forth by relevant funding agencies and World Education HQ
before completion and submission to ensure compliance, quality, and clarity;
•. Initiates, develops, coordinates, and distributes additional project documentation, including success stories, articles,
press releases, talking points, and other media;
• Takes initiative to improve systems for the gathering, presenting and dissemination of project-related information,
particularly for the report development process; ·
• As needed, provides additional assistance for other business development efforts;
and
• Reports to the Country Director on all reporting, communications, or strategic information activities and relevant issues.
