The Administrative Manager provides all necessary administrative support and services to assist the Department Chair in managing an academic department. The duties and responsibilities include:

+ Coordinating academic administration

+ Facilitating communication as a liaison to campus offices

+ Directing human resources and financial management for the department

+ Overseeing facilities needs for the department including serving as the Biology building manager

+ Supervision of department office staff

In the course of each year, the Administrative Manager establishes procedures that enable meeting these responsibilities in the most efficient and effective way possible.

Job Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

+ BA or BS degree from a college or university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or an internationally recognized accrediting organization

+ Demonstrated superior interpersonal, organizational, and writing skills

+ Budget/bookkeeping experience

+ Expertise working with Microsoft Office software

+ Two years minimum professional administrative experience

+ Applicants must address in their applications their abilities to work with a culturally diverse population.

+ Experience with facilities management

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Experience working with IAS (Peoplesoft) and Business Intelligence

+ Experience in an academic setting is highly desired
