**Providence is calling an Administrative Assistant 3 to Providence (0.5 FTE, Days) St. Vincent Medical Center in Portland, OR.**

We are seeking an Administrative Assistant 3 to be the responsible for the full secretarial functions of a highly responsible and confidential nature for the Director of Finance, Associate Administrator, and the Director of Mission Integration. Presents a positive image of the Administration Department to employees, members of the Medical Staff, Corporate and Regional offices of the Sisters of Providence, and the general public.

**In this position, you will:**

+ Perform secretarial and selected administrative duties and/or manage the office affairs of an executive manager.

+ Perform independent, experienced, and professional secretarial functions of a very confidential nature.

+ Perform independent and advanced level secretarial functions of a very confidential nature.

+ Maintain decision making authority for a number of projects and day-to-day operational matters on behalf of the management.

+ Execute work assignments which are considered routine up to very complex and involve establishing and maintaining working relationships with key members of the leadership team.

+ Secretarial accountability includes research, data gathering, analysis, and presentation of findings in an executive format.

+ This level differs from the Administrative Assistant 2 by its greater authority and direct responsibility and the degree of decision-making required on administrative matters.

+ Services rendered are difficult because of the greater complexity of the work situation, the heavier demands of the supervisor's position, the higher levels of contact with public and private officials, and the greater responsibilities for avoiding errors in judgement or discretion.


**Required qualifications for this position include:**

+ 2 years of college or business school training **-or-**

+ Equivalent experience and five 5 years of successful administrative or executive level technical and secretarial support experience to include advanced computer skills and working knowledge of a variety of software programs and communication vehicles

+ Understanding and ability to maximize web based formats

+ Public relations or customer service based experience

+ Evidence of written and oral communication skills and the ability to deal with highly sensitive and confidential matters
