Requirements
Bachelors or higher education in field(s) relevant to fulfillment of the duties and responsibilities as described above.
At least three years of progressively responsible experience as a program development professional, with preference for candidates whose experience
includes working with NGOs and Faith Based Organizations.
Social Work, Education systems in Tanzania, HIV and AIDS programming experience are plus
Ability to work with team members, stakeholders and community members of national communities
Demonstrated understanding of challenges facing OVC adolescent gins and their coping mechanism in HIV impacted areas
Demonstrated understanding of the spectrum of OVC/MVC services and challenges faced in delivery of services in poor areas

Responsibilities
Collaborate with national level DREAMS partners, government, and other stakeholders to ensure cordination and attend national level DREAMS related
meetings, workshops, and site vlsts.
Provide remote support and supervision to the DREAMS Coordinator based In Mbeya to ensure high quality programming and overall goals and targets
are met across all three DREAMS councils.
Using a data driven approach, wor1< with the Senior Technical Advisor and LGAs to potentially expand to more primary schools for the delivery of in·sch~
DREAMS interventions.
Facilitate enrollment and retention of OVC adolescent girls (10-14 years old) in school, with specific emphasis on girls that are in Standard 6 and 7 and
who are at risk of dropping out as well as those who are recent dropouts but eligible for re-enrolment in school.
Collaborate with the HURU program (implemented by Peace Corp Tanzania and Huro lntemationaf) in providing sexual and reproductive health education
programming for school going OVC girls aged 10-14 years old and provide hygiene and sanitation kits.
Ensure efficient and well documented distribution of educational StJbsidies for girls age 10-14 whose families are facing financial challenges.
Ensure strengthened capacity of Parent-Teacher Associations in primary schools to monitor enrolment and retention of these OVC adolescent girls in
school and support them to obtain services when needed.
Map vocational colleges and opportunities, develop technical guidance on how to select out of school DREAMS gir1s (age 15-19) to receive scholarships
for vocational training courses; monitor attendance during the course as well as outcomes after completing the course.
Provide technical assistance to CSO implementing parenting activities that target DREAMS girls age 10-19 and their caregivers; ensure close collaboration
with LGAs for parenting activities.
Participate in supporting to gather and analyze data for project monitoring and evaluation as stipulated in the M&E plans;
Lead the development of DREAMS quarterly, semi-annual, and annual progress report.
Conduct frequent field visits as part of backstopping to CSOs so that they implement the program as per program plans.
Collaborate with LGAs and technical partners in the city/district towards integration of the various OVC adolescent girls related aspects like WORTH, Child
Protection /GBV and HIV/AJDS prevention to make sure that are all inclusive to the DREAMS Initiative
Other duties as assigned by the Integrated Cluster Manager relevant to USAJD Kizazi Kipya and DREAMS Initiative objectives.
