Requirements
• Relevant post graduate qualification and 6 - 8 years' experience in public health, women's/reproductive
health, programme implementation & management, HR development and operations management
• Ability to manage and balance interpersonal relationships among a diverse range of stakeholders
• High level verbal and written communication skills in English and Swahili
• Very good organisational and time management skills
• High level report writing skills and budget management experience
• Experience working in donor funded programmes
• Experience working with the Tanzania Ministry of Health will be a distinct advantage
• Unendorsed driver's licence & own vehicle
• Willingness to travel to Kilimanjaro region

Responsibilities
• Work closely with the National Chair, the Steering Committee and counterparts in the UK to implement the
Programme.
• Facilitate the implementation of the agreed work plan in close collaboration with the heads of the participating
health facilities and relevant health departments.
• Organize the training workshops and oversee the mentoring system established to support postpartum family
planning and comprehensive post-abortion care services.
• Liaise closely with the Programme administrator in Kilimanjaro region, offering support and guidance, to
ensure continuity and consistency across the programme.
• Monitor the Programme budget in collaboration with the finance department at MOH
• Monitor the achievement of the objectives and develop appropriate responses and solutions according to
need, in collaboration with the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer.
• Support, and where appropriate, lead the development and submission of detailed Programme reports to the
RCOG, the Steering Committee and other decision making bodies.
