Requirements
Bachelors of Laws degree (LLB) from a recognized institution by Commission for University Education.
Master's degree in law or Business Administration or any related field.
Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law.
Advocate of the High Court of Kenya.
Member of the Law Society of Kenya (LSK).
Member of the Institute of Certified Public Secretaries of Kenya (ICPSK).
Possess a minimum of 10 years' relevant experience with 5 years in a senior managerial level in the legal
field either in the public service, private sector or be a practicing advocate with similar experience

Responsibilities
Provides lega l advice on all matters appertaining to the Authority's operations, drafting and review of contracts including legal
counsel to staff on a case by case basis.
Provides advice to the Authority in drafting services regarding contracts, Memorandum of Understanding, agreements,
employment contracts and legislative activities.
Advises the Board, Management and staff of development with respect to legal or statutory requirement that have a bearing on the
industry, Authority's operations and impact to the employees and their professions on a timely and responsive manner.
Advises and counsels, in both oral and written, management and staff regarding legal questions, case management, personnel
problems and recommend appropriate courses of action.
Custodian in the development of appropriate measures to ensure the maintenance and disposal of all records in order to satisfy
statutory requirement including advice on determination of appropriate archiving and retrieval system.
