About Company: Lake Victoria South Water Services Board (LVSWSB) is a State Corporation under the Ministry of Environment, Water and Natural Resources (MEWNRs). The Board is among the 8 Water Service Boards (WSBs) established under the Water Act (2002) vide Gazette Notice No. 1714 of 12th March 2004 with the mandate of ensuring efficient and economic provision of Water and Sanitation Services in its area of jurisdiction. In 2004, the Board started its operations in administrative counties within former Nyanza Province and the Southern part of the Rift Valley. Geographically, it covers an area of 21,720 Sq. Km in the host Counties of Kisumu, Siaya, Migori, Homa Bay, Bomet, Kericho, Nyamira, Kisii and parts of Nandi and Narok Counties.

• Has to possess a degree in Civil Engineering - 2nd Class Upper Division from an EBK accredited university. • At least 2 years relevant work experience in design and/or supervision of Civil Works preferably water supplies. • Computer literacy and proficiency with standard office and Engineering computer applications (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Water CAD, Civil 3D, Sewer CAD and AutoCAD). • Good communication skills as well as interpersonal skills. • Knowledge of the Water Sector structure in Kenya • Registration with Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK) and/or Institute of Engineers of Kenya (IEK) as graduate engineer will be an added advantage.
Reporting to the Technical Manager Infrastructure Development, the successful candidates will perform the following duties and responsibilities; • Project Management through supervision of the Contractors and Consultants Reviewing and approving Contractors Method statements and other relevant project documents. • Preparation of periodical project progress reports. • Engagement of project stakeholders on various project issues throughout the project cycle. • Monitoring and Implementation of Environmental Impact Assessment and Resettlement Action Plan Reports. • Carry out designs for Water and Sanitation projects. • Production/Review of engineering drawings. •Preparation of projects bid documents
