Possession of a degree in Procurement and Logistics, Supply Chain
Management or equivalent. Must be registered with PSPTB as
Authorized Professional. Must have at least five years relevant working
experience, three of which must be at a senior management position.
Conversant with relevant computer packages/programs. Possession of
a relevant Postgraduate Degree is an added advantage. Should not be
above 45 years. In addition, He/she should show proven expertise as a
procurement manager; knowledge of sourcing and procurement
techniques as well as agility in reading the market; talent in negotiations
and networking; skillful in decision-making and working with
numbers; experience in collecting and analysing data; strong
leadership capabilities; and, capable of influencing excelled
performance and results by his/her subordinates.
Employees-duties include but not limited to the following:-
Advises the Managing Director on all matters concerned procurement;
Prepares Annual Procurement Plan of the Authority;
Performs all the duties of the Secretary to the Tender Board,
support the functioning of the tender board, causes the
implement of the decisions of the tender board and advises the
Authority on tendering issues;
Develops for the Authority, policies, standards and procedures for
Ensures that there is timely procurement at optimum costs and
with regard to quality, quantities and economies;
Ensures that all Procurement Activities adheres to the Public
Procurement Act in place;
Recommends proper procurement and disposal by tender
Establishes, evaluates and maintains reliable primary and
secondary sources of suppliers to ensure continuity of the
Authority's operations;
Monitors all available sources on market trend that may have an
