At least 10years experiencein the security sector including the police, private & commercial security, NGO’s, United Nations and UK or US funded projects
similar to DAI.
2. Fluency in written and spoken English and Somali Language is mandatory.
3. Ability to work with MS office and other common office programs including Outlook.
4. Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and effectively with security staff and non-security staff alike
5.A bachelor’s degree in security studies, political science, armed conflict & peace studies or other relevant field.
6. Experienced, networked throughout Kenya and in Somalia (Somaliland and Puntland and south-central regions of Somalia);
7. Legal residence in Kenya is an added advantage.
1. Develop a Country Security Manual with the assistance of DAI’s Global Security Department to enable DAI projects to have a coordinated approach in their
response to varying risk environments.
2. Oversee risk level monitoring plan for DAI in Kenya and Somalia and initiate responses with the COP’s and TL’s when required.
3. Be the main conduit for incidents and respond to them utilizing DAI’s Incident Management Plan.
4. Troubleshoot and immediately react to local incidents that are putting staff at risk, such as being held up at roadblocks, responding to accidents, or
pressure from local groups or government services
