Requirements
University Master degree in Laws (LLM) or its equivalent from a recognized institution;
University Bachelor degree in Laws (LLB) or its equivalent from a recognized institution;
Registered as an Advocate of the High Court;
At least ten (1 O) years of working experience, three (3) years of which must be at supervisory level in a
reputable institution;
Proven experience on regulatory activities and in drafting Regulations will be added advantage.

Responsibilities
To advise the supervisor on matters of enforcement and compliance on regulated sub-sectors
To coordinate implementation of laws, regulations, rules, contract, agreements and other legal instruments;
To conduct research on legislation and other legal aspects pertaining to regulated sub-sectors and the duty
and functions of the Authority;
To handle Review and Appeals lodged with the Authority;
To represent the Authority in courts of law;·
To participate in drafting various legal instruments;
To coordinate enforcement of the Authority's regulatory decisions;
To ensure that the Authority's business complies with statutory requirements;
To prepare, implement and monitor annul plans and budgets of the Department;
To manage the individual set objectives/targets and performance standards as part of the individual
performance agreement in consultation the Supervisor;
To manage the open performance review and appraisal process of subordinates and provide feedback as
appropriate; and
To perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor from time t.o time.
