A Master’s degree in a relevant field such as Public Policy, Economics, Social Sciences, Statistics
5+ years of relevant experience.
Understanding of the Parliamentary processes, and public financial management and policy making frameworks in Uganda
Experience working on national policy advocacy fronts desired
Experience working on a donor-funded program to strengthen and support policy making, public administration or public financial management.
Policy research, analysis and conceptual skills
Ability to navigate parliamentary processes and politics
Ability to organize events including support for all logistical requirements for activity implementation
Report writing skills
Oversee and support key grantees on technical implementation and compliance
Review policy advocacy issues and documentation such as policy briefs, including written input and editing as necessary
Provide capacity building to grantees and other national partners on a range of organizational, technical, and policy topics
Organize events for implementation of activities including meetings and workshops
Write technical reports for those activities
