Requirements
• University degree in Public Health, Nursing/Midwife or education in international development
or related field. Masters Education in any of these fields is an added advantage.
• Should have served in a similar position for at least 3 years with supervisory responsibility over
national staff, budgetary oversight, program planning and management.
• Should have in-depth technical expertise on Gender Based Violence and Reproductive Health
related issues including having a clear understanding of gender inequality, and issues
surrounding violence against women and girls
• Proficient in the use of GBVIMS and other Case Management tools
• Be able to provide technical leadership and be able to use different tools in the area of SRHR
• Very good facilitation skills with proven record of providing trainings and workshops on gender
and GBV topics in a variety of settings
• Good knowledge about family planning and how to work with adolescent health will be an asset
for the successful candidate.
• Excellent Analytical, Communication and Report writing skills
Conditions
This position is open to South Sudanese citizens only.
Responsibilities
Under the direct supervision of Head of Programmes, the GBV/Health Officer will design, manage,
supervise and coordinate the direct implementation of GBV and health activities in South Sudan. He/she
will supervise GBV /Psychosocial Counselors to effectively Design, Plan, implement, monitor & document
GBV prevention, response and health activities. The scope of the work would include staff supervision,
design and planning of program activities, organizing and facilitating trainings for staff and partners,
compiling reports, monitoring progress of activities while making adjustments as necessary.
