About Company: The roads Tolls Act, 1985 enacted by the Parliament of the United Republic of Tanzania on 26 July 1985 provided for the imposition and collection of tolles on the vehicular use of public roads and for other matters related to roads tolls. The tolls were treated as normal government revenues. Two Road Funds were established under two separate declarations made by the Minister for Finance at different times.

(i) Holder of Master Degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration
(Finance) from recognized Institution with working experience of not less than
ten (10) years in which at least three (3) years should be in a managerial level.
(ii) Research and analytical skills - including use of software programs such as
spreadsheets, statistical analysis packages and mathematical models;
(iii) Managerial skills;
(iv) Report writing skills; and
(v) Cor:nmunication skills
(i) To prepare strategic and business plans;
(ii) To prepare quarterly and annual implementation reports and present to the
Board and stakeholders;
(iii) To devise and analyze new sources of revenue, adjustment of rates of existing
sources and on regulations for collection of revenues and advise the
Board accordingly;
(iv) To regularly review procedures for collection of road and fuel tolls and propose
suitable procedures;
(v) To analyse and reconcile data related to revenue collected and deposited to
Fund Account and transferred to the Roads Fund Board account;
(vi) To monitor revenue collections and prepare reports for presentation to the
(vii) To supervise the preparation of revenue forecasts;
(viii) To compile, analyze and interpret relevant economic and financial data as well
as forecasting trends;
(ix) To undertake cost-benefit analysis for road maintenance works - including
analysis of socio-economic impacts of transport infrastructure projects;
(x) To develop strategies for engagement with development partners for financing
road maintenance;
(xi) To prepare and present technical and non-technical reports on economic trends
and forecasts to inform the Board and public;
(xii) To devise methods and procedures for obtaining socio-economic data;
(xiii) To coordinate and report to the Board on Roads Fund Board Risk Management
issues; and
(xiv) To perform any other related duties as may be assigned by Roads Fund Manager.
