About Company: The United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund was created by the United Nations General Assembly on 11 December 1946, to provide emergency food and healthcare to children in countries that had been devastated by World War II. The Polish physician Ludwik Rajchman is widely regarded as the founder of UNICEF and served as its first chairman from 1946. On Rajchman's suggestion, the American Maurice Pate was appointed its first executive director, serving from 1947 until his death in 1965.[4][5] In 1950, UNICEF's mandate was extended to address the long-term needs of children and women in developing countries everywhere. In 1953 it became a permanent part of the United Nations System, and the words "international" and "emergency" were dropped from the organization's name, making it simply the United Nations Children's Fund, retaining the original acronym, "UNICEF".[6]

Requirements
Advanced* University degree in Social sciences, Law and/or Child development or any other relevant Social Development fields.
Three to four years of relevant professional work experience.
Background/familiarity with Emergency preparedness and response is an asset.
Fluency in English and local working language of the duty station.
First university degree and five (5) years of relevant professional experience may exceptionally be considered by the organization,

Responsibilities
Provide technical assistance to Government at sub-national level on child protection systems building and building local public sector capacities to plan, budget, manage and monitor child protection prevention and response, including the Local Council for the Protection of Children (LCPC) and its Local Child Protection Working Group (LCPWG).
Collect data and information and prepare progress reports; draft changes in Child Protection project work plans and assist in drafting of Country Programme Recommendation and other project documentation, assuring accuracy and consistency with established rules, regulations and plans of action.
