An advanced degree in Nutrition, Public Health, Economics, or related Social Sciences, and at least 5 years of relevant experience.
Strong track record in leading the design, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation of health and nutrition projects. Hands on experience in Implementing nutrition projects as part of health sector or other sector investments is desirable.
Knowledge and experience in designing and implementing Results-based financing mechanisms will be an asset.
Experience in Sub-Saharan Africa, and in particular fragile or low income contexts, is desirable.
Proven analytical skills, and excellent English-language written and oral communications skills. French language will be an asset.
Support tasks teams in the preparation, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of analytical and advisory services and lending operations with a focus on nutrition.
Participate and contribute to the health/nutrition policy dialogue with Governments and other development partners.
Contribute, together with the relevant Country Management Unit and with the Government and development partners, to strategic discussions (e.g., Systematic Country Diagnostics and Country Partnership Framework) regarding development challenges in nutrition.
Cultivate and maintain effective relationships with country officials, and partner agencies. Maintain strong partnerships and team spirit with country Task Teams.
Promote and seek opportunities for the Task Teams to work in collaboration with other GPs on innovative initiatives of mutual interest and of synergistic value to the country program to support multi-sectoral approaches for improving nutrition outcomes, and strengthen country systems
