First-level degree or equivalent from a law enforcement or border guard academy, or a university degree in security studies, political science, or international relations;
A minimum of 4 years of directly related professional experience working for a law enforcement or border guard agency, or experience working for a national or international organization or relevant non-governmental organization in border security and management-related issues;
Excellent written and oral communication and networking skills, with experience in managing a high number of contacts;
Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills as well as maturity of judgement;
Excellent knowledge of the OSCE and its area of operation. Previous work-experience within the OSCE is an asset;
Understanding of the specificity and sensitiveness of border programme activities in the fields of Democratization, Human Rights, Security, and Rule of Law in countries of transition is an asset;
Providing advice and technical expertise from a multi-disciplinary perspective on a variety of border security and management issues;
Liaising with National Focal Points (NFP) on various relevant issues in the capacity of OSCE Focal Point in the OSCE Border Security and Management National Focal Point Network;
Producing and distributing the NFP newsletter;
Facilitating responses to queries and requests from members of the NFP;
Contributing to the design, development and implementation of efforts and initiatives to foster cross border co-operation, including anti-corruption initiatives and gender mainstreaming in border security and management services;
