Requirements
o An undergraduate degree in Public Health, Health Education and Related health fields or equivalent (Master's
Degree preferred)
o Ability to work under pressure, deadlines and little supervision
o Previous experience in managing public health, reproductive health projects in developing countries;
o Ability to effectively manage a team of professional program officers
o A track record of successfully applying results-based management (RBM) and M&E frameworks to ensure
effective on time implementation of complex donor funded projects in developing countries;
o Experience in implementing gender equity/gender analysis tools in projects
o Knowledge and experience of conservation and sustainable natural resources management is desirable.
o Computer literate and ability to use data analysis programs (SPSS), word, Xcel, PowerPoint, Outlook etc
o Experience working in rural and remote areas ofTanzania (Preferred)

Responsibilities
Timely reporting
Coordinate the development and periodic review of the project annual work plans iA liAe with project obfectives;
Work with the GMU Director on selection and supervision of consultants engaged to achieve deliverables in line with
project objectives;
Work closely with the GMU Monitoring and Evaluation Officer in monitoring and evaluation frameworks to track
project deliverables against results-based indicators as indicated in the GMU program PMP;
Compile, analyse and incorporate project data into high reports to donors and stakeholders;
Timely communicate to the GMU Program Director any proposed changes and improvements to the work plan and
budget for receipt of feedback and approval;
Provide ~pport for capacity building for program and district health care providers and other key stakeholders to
ensure improved the service delivery.
Promote integration and adoption of cross-cutting themes including gender equity, environmental education and
environmental sustainability
Liaise with zonal and national Population, Health, and Environment (PHE) networks to explore synergies and
understanding of the public health context and natural resource management
Represent the project to coordination meetings with donors, health authorities, civil society organizations and other
key actors;
Enhance and coordinate key stakeholders' participation in project implementation.
