BUE has been offering a UK-style higher education experience and UK-validated degrees in Egypt since 2005. With over 10,000 students, BUE is the largest provider of British higher education in Egypt and one of the largest in the MENA region. A private Egyptian university, our mission is to be a leading research and teaching university in Egypt based on UK best practice. Our teaching is in English and our UK validating partners are London South Bank University and Queen Margaret University Edinburgh. We are based on a striking campus 35 kms east of Cairo and close to the airport and the new administrative capital.

The Role

In an increasingly competitive higher education market in Egypt, BUE’s ambition is to differentiate ourselves from our competitors by providing a transformative experience for all our students. We are looking for an outstanding individual to work with the University Registrar to develop and implement a BUE Student Experience Strategy. You will develop a range of strategies for engaging with students and developing and eventually running a range of student support facilities from a newly created Student Hub. You will work with academic and administrative staff across BUE to ensure a consistent approach throughout the whole student journey and to put our students at the heart of everything we do.

A graduate, you will have ideally 5 years’ experience of working in the Student Services and/or Student Experience function in a UK university. You will have experience of providing student-facing support services and will have an excellent understanding of current practice in supporting student engagement and student success. You will be committed to providing excellent customer service and a student-centred approach. In addition to these skills you will have a genuine desire to work in Egypt and a commitment to the benefits of international higher education.

Next Steps

The post comes with an attractive remuneration package and will commence depending on the availability of the successful candidate. Contracts are usually offered for a two-year period in the first instance and the post will remain open until filled.
