We currently have an exciting opportunity for an established academic to join UWE Bristol as Faculty Academic Director for Student Experience .
The role: Reporting to the Associate Dean for Learning, Teaching and Student, Experience this post is a key leadership and management role within the Faculty of Business and Law.
The role holder will have faculty-wide responsibility for a portfolio relating to the student experience and will work closely with the Director of Strategic Partnerships, Director of Learning, Teaching & Assessment Innovation and the relevant Associate Deans to develop a strategy and plan for the portfolio, ensuring the successful implementation of that plan, including the delivery through the leadership of project teams.
You will also have the opportunity to make contributions to the departments teaching, learning and research in subject areas relevant to one or more of the Faculty's programmes.
The student experience is at the heart of everything we do and is core to the UWE 2030 strategy and the Director of Student Experience will be key to delivering an excellent student experience for all in the faculty. You will therefore be expected to work with departments right across the faculty and also with relevant professional services to ensure the successful delivery of UWE-wide Student Experience strategies and policies for all of our students studying at UWE campuses and at academic partners in the UK and overseas.
About you: We are looking for an accomplished academic manager with proven leadership skills within a comparable higher education setting who has a substantial record of achievement as an academic and proven ability to inspire and engage teams in new and innovative pedagogies and technologies. You should also be able to demonstrate extensive experience in fostering meaningful relationships and effective partnership working with external organisations and professional bodies combined with a comprehensive understanding of the complex issues and demands facing the Higher Education sector.
