Position Summary and Qualifications
UALR Functional Title
Academic Counselor/Enrollment Coordinator / R99189
This position reports directly to the department chairperson with indirect reporting to internal program coordinators as well as external enrollment coordinators. This position is governed by state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
+ Leadership in development and implementation of systematic student recruitment and enrollment plan;
+ Engage faculty and staff, senior leadership, alumni, and students in the recruitment process via appropriate and productive methods;
+ Development/maintenance of marketing and recruitment materials in coordination with campus and external enrollment support teams-Work collaboratively with external enrollment support, the UALR Recruitment Task Force and the UALR VC of Enrollment Management-Student and potential student advising toward program entry, progression, exit, and graduation;
+ Development and maintenance of online orientation and advising programs aimed at retention and progression;
+ Serve liaison with campus departments i.e. Transfer Student Services, Dean's Office, Records & Registration, Communications, Admissions, Development, etc.;
+ Serve as liaison and public face with area hospitals, nursing programs, outside agencies and community colleges;
+ Manage all functions of external communication such as departmental website, email and social networks;
+ Track student scholarship, recruitment, clinical and progression data;
+ Development and maintenance of student and graduate databases in accord with ACEN expectations;
+ Analysis of data and formulation of required internal and external data reports;
+ Completion of degree plans;
+ Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education and/or Experience
An earned baccalaureate degree in public administration, nursing, business or related field.
